The 2026 FIFA World Cup is almost over, which means soon I will retire my soccer personality just in time to dust off my equally annoying-to-everyone-around-me tennis personality!
The World Cup final is taking place on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, and for the first time in history, we’re getting a halftime show stacked with performers—curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. So, who’s in the lineup? A bunch of names have been confirmed, including a major last-minute addition. Here’s who’s performing in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show.
Madonna
“Performing at the World Cup final in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund is deeply meaningful to me,” the Queen of Pop said in a statement. “Without education, children are denied opportunity before they even have a chance. Every child deserves access to a quality learning—because education expands possibilities and creates lasting change.”
Shakira
“I’ve spent my life doing two things—making songs and building schools,” Shakira said. “At the FIFA World Cup, those two paths come together. Standing alongside Madonna and BTS, I’ll be performing ‘Dai Dai,’ the song I created for this World Cup and for the kids around the world we will reach with the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. My hope is that on the world’s biggest stage, the importance of investing in children’s education steals the show!”
FYI, Shakira will be joined by the Ghetto Kids!
BTS
BTS gave a statement saying, “Music is the universal language of hope and harmony, and we’re honored to celebrate that power at the World Cup by connecting with millions of viewers around the world in support of children’s education.”
Justin Bieber
TMZ was the first to report that Justin was in talks to perform at halftime, and notes that not only did he attend the opening game, he performed for VIP guests!
A week later, the big news was finally confirmed with an Instagram post.
“The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can,” he said in a statement. “I’m grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world.”
Sesame Street and The Muppets
Apparently “Characters from Sesame Street, The Muppets, who for generations have brought joyful learning to children around the world, will be part of the show.” Honestly, couldn’t be more excited to see these icons.
So, how do you tune in? The halftime show starts at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 19, and airs on Telemundo, FOX, and Peacock.
