Cloud lips and ’90s minimalism came together on the faces of the A-list at the 98th annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night, with Ariana Greenblatt and “KPop Demon Hunters” voice Audrey Nuna leading the charge on the carpet ahead of the ceremony.
At the same time, Old Hollywood-inspired red lips dominated alongside ethereal eyes, seen on best actress nominee Rose Byrne and “One Battle After Another” star Chase Infiniti, respectively.
Also in the mix was K-beauty-inspired glass skin courtesy of Dr. Althea products and at-home, face-lifting tools like the NuFace Trinity+ used by Infiniti’s makeup artist, Amber Dreadon, during the skin prep stage.
Here, the best makeup looks at the 98th annual Academy Awards.

Working with makeup artist Amber Dreadon, Chase Infiniti subtly matched her ethereal glam to her lavender Louis Vuitton gown. The “One Battle After Another” actress’ bone structure was accentuated with the NuFace Trinity+ tool before Dreadon dressed her lids with a light mauve shadow. Meanwhile, a bronze-toned blush embellished her cheeks, and a brown-taupe gloss coated her lips.
Rose Byrne

Rose Byrne was the epitome of Old Hollywood beauty, donning a smoky charcoal shadow and black eyeliner across her lids, wispy lashes and red lipstick. The pop of color on her lips was accentuated against her black Dior gown, styled by Kate Young.
Ariana Greenblatt

With the help of makeup artist Jenn Tioseco, Ariana Greenblatt lightened her look to fit her new ginger-hued hair on the carpet. Her lips, cushion-y and matte, mimicked the faint rose blush on her cheeks, while her eyes were embellished with a soft bronze shade in her crease.
Audrey Nuna

Audrey Nuna went with naked eyes and glass skin on the carpet before the ceremony. As one of the main voices in “Kpop Demon Hunters,” it’s likely her face was prepped using a range of products from K-beauty brand Anua, which announced its new global partnership with the Netflix film back in February.
The 2026 Academy Awards honor the best films of 2025 from “One Battle After Another” to “Hamnet” and more. Hosted by Conan O’Brien, who returns for a second consecutive year as master of ceremonies, the awards show takes place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. “Sinners” leads the night’s nominations, with a record-setting 16 nods, including Best Picture. The 2026 Oscars air Sunday night at 7 p.m. ET on ABC and Hulu.
