LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Former Academy Award winner Diane Keaton, known for her roles in “The Godfather” and “Father of the Bride,” has died. She was 79.

Born Diane Hall in Los Angeles, she adopted her mother’s maiden name. Keaton had a five-decade career in Hollywood, starring in films such as “The First Wives Club,” Something’s Gotta Give” and “Annie Hall.”
Keaton won the Academy Award for Best Actress in “Annie Hall” in 1978.
Keaton is survived by her two children –– daughter Dexter and son Duke.
