The Internet’s Reactions To Buzz Lightyear And Woody In “Toy Story 5” Are Absolutely Hilarious

Just kidding! Now that you picked yourself up from the floor, Pixar just shared a first look at the iconic duo returning for Toy Story 5 — Woody and Buzz Lightyear!

The toys are back for a fifth installment in the Toy Story franchise, and this time, they’re not up against juvenile delinquents or vengeful teddy bears. Jessie, Buzz, Woody, and the rest of the gang are facing off against electronics, according to the Pixar website.

The latest sequel is in great hands because Toy Story 5 is co-directed by Andrew Stanton, the co-writer of Toy Story 1-4. And he’ll be joined by McKenna Harris, who has worked on projects such as Frozen 2, Luca, and Elemental.

New renders of the dynamic duo were seen on a banner on the Pixar site, with the classic cloud sky backdrop behind them. If you look closely, you’ll notice a few differences in the characters’ outfits.

Woody is missing his sheriff badge, which makes sense considering he passed it down to Jessie in Toy Story 4 .Buzz has a star over his “Lightyear” name tag, which fans speculate means he’ll be deputized in the sequel.

It’s been 30 years since the first Toy Story premiered (starts sobbing). With that being said, it makes sense that fans would have a lot to say about how far the stars of the franchise have come.
