Global pop star Taylor Swift is releasing a new album, and fans across the capital are making preparations for the event. Here’s what to know about “The Life of a Showgirl” and how to celebrate in Austin this weekend.

Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album (not counting re-recordings) will drop at 11 p.m. Central Time on Thursday, Oct. 2 (midnight Eastern Time on Friday, Oct. 3).

The new album by Taylor Swift will be released on all streaming platforms at 11 p.m. Central Time on Thursday, Oct. 2, according to Marie Claire. This includes Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and YouTube.
