The Middle star Jen Ray is mourning the loss of her friend Pat Finn, who died this week at the age of 60.
As Parade reported, the sitcom star died on Tuesday, December 23, after a battle with cancer. Finn was best known for playing Bill Norwood on the ABC sitcom.
Ray, who played Nancy Donahue on The Middle, took to Instagram to mourn the loss of Finn. The actress didn’t hold back, writing an emotional and heartfelt tribute to remember Finn, which included a carousel of photos.
“Pat Finn. Anyone that ever met him, loved him. I am going to miss him more than words could ever fully describe. When I would get a script for The Middle and saw that Pat Finn was in that episode, a grin from ear to ear immediately happened! I have never laughed as hard as I did between takes with Pat. He was so funny, so quick witted, literally one of the funniest people I will ever, ever meet! And such a talent. So FUN to perform with! I was the lucky one to have been his friend!” she began her tribute.
Ray revealed she referred to Finn as “Old Hollywood” because the actor worked with everyone in the business. She reflected on the stories that Finn would tell from his various Hollywood experiences, revealing that Finn was filled with kind stories and was a great storyteller as well.
“I have so many memories of sitting in our director’s chairs sharing stories, sharing our families, sharing our dreams and of course, LAUGHING! I will miss laughing with you Pat! I would always tell Pat, he was the person in my life that was #relationshipgoals #familygoals #friendshipgoals #careergoals #livinglifetothefullestgoals He literally is one of the best that has ever walked this planet!” Ray wrote.
The sitcom star took time to share a sweet message to Finn’s children, daughters Cassidy and Caitlin, and sonRyan. She told them to be kind to themselves as they deal with a year of firsts after losing their father.
“I hope you are feeling all of the love that Pat had from so many. He will forever be one of the best humans I will ever know,” Ray told Finn’s children before adding, “I love you Pat. Thank you for making us all better people by knowing you! See you again. Xoxo.”
Ray isn’t the only The Middle star to remember Finn. Patricia Heaton also shared an emotional tribute to remember her beloved co-star.
Along with starring in The Middle, Finn also showcased his comedic talents on Friendsand Seinfeld.
