NORFOLK, VA. – The Reading Royals open 2026 on the road as they face the Norfolk Admirals.
The Admirals get on the board late in the first off the stick of Brady Fleurent, 1-0 Norfolk.
The Royals answer back in the second. Jeremy Michel lights the lamp off the assist by Kyle Haskins. Tied game heading into the third.
Kristóf Papp gets the lead back for the Admirals three minutes into the period, 2-1 Admirals.
The Royals would rally one last time as Artem Guryev finds the net to tie the game at 2.
It would be the Admirals coming out on top in overtime, 4-3.
