In 2021, the Notwist released Vertigo Days, their first album in seven years. Now, the German indie rockers are announcing its follow-up, News From Planet Zombie. The lead single “X-Ray” is out now.
“The river here in Munich I often go to has been there forever and will be there long after us,” Micha Acher says. “Always the same but always changing. Very calming, but also always reminding me that like this river time only flows into one direction and you can’t go back. Every moment is very precious.”
“X-Ray” leans into delightfully twinkly indie pop, while also possessing a Strokesy rock edge. Listen below.
