The Prince Andrew drama has been the thing everyone has been talking about lately. And to be clear, there’s been drama surrounding Prince Andrew for a long time. But a new biography on Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, titled Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, has not only brought his behavior back into the conversation, but revealed a lot of sordid details people didn’t know. And now, these revelations might even affect someone other than Andrew and Fergie.
One former royal employee told the Express about the possibility of Princess Beatrice becoming a senior royal in the future, saying it’s unlikely this will happen. “Beatrice has her own career, so I don’t see William making her a senior member of the working royals,” Grant Harrold told the outlet. This despite the fact that she has been known to represent the family at official engagements.

“They pull ranks when they need the support, and she’s been known to step up,” Harrold explained. “But she has a job and does her own thing. She’s still a valued member of the family.”
Harrold, a former royal butler, also discussed how the family would be celebrating Princess Beatrice’s 37th birthday, which is coming soon. “The King will be eager to celebrate Princess Beatrice,” Harrold told the outlet. “King Charles and Queen Camilla remain close to both Beatrice and Eugenie.”
He added, “Beatrice is well-liked across the Royal Family and often steps in to support. While the celebrations may be a private affair, a celebration is expected, reflecting her quiet but valued presence within The Firm.”
This, however, contradicts what other experts have had to say about Princess Beatrice’s future role. Though William is widely expected to make sure Prince Andrew is completely excluded from royal life, the same will not apply to his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. Instead, the two, who are not working royals, are expected to take on larger roles when Prince William becomes King.
“When William ascends the throne, Beatrice and Eugenie will be valuable assets, and I’m certain they will get involved with royal duties. It makes perfect sense, because he will need them,” Ingrid Seward, royal author and editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, told Hello!.
“I see them as a sort of double act, working together in the same way as married couples do. Two gorgeous Princesses working together as sisters would be very powerful. I think it would be wonderful, and I think it will happen,” she added.
The controversy surrounding their parents aside, both Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have often stepped up in an unofficial capacity, and reportedly would welcome a bigger role. “I think they would be open to doing more, because they like to give back,” Seward also said. “They have always been close to William, and the King is very fond of them too.
So, drama about Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson aside, and whether they end up with an official role or not when William is King, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are not expected to go the way of their parents.
