Luke Bryan is ranked No. 7, with a net worth of $160 million. The 48 year-old was born in Leesburg and graduated from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, where he joined the Sigma Chi fraternity.
“Luke Bryan is one of the bestselling country singers of all time,” the website wrote. “Born and raised in Georgia, Luke moved to Nashville, Tennessee — the capital of country music — to pursue his country-music dreams. Luke started as a songwriter for other country singers before signing with Capital Nashville to release his own album.
Alan Jackson is ranked No. 8, with a net worth of $150 million. The 66 year-old is a Georgia native from Newnan.
“Alan’s 80-million-plus records sold come out of his 18 studio albums, two Christmas albums, and two gospel albums, earning him a place in all the country-related halls of fame, Grand Ole Opry, nine multi-platinum records, and tons of awards,” the Ledger note wrote.
Jackson is currently touring as part of his “Last Call: One More for the Road Tour” which he has described as the final opportunity for fans to see him perform. This is because, for over a decade, Jackson has battled Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, an illness that has affected his ability to move and stay balanced on stage.
