A new live-action movie based on The Sims is officially in the works, with producers promising a fun and unique take on the popular video game.
The project is being developed by LuckyChap Entertainment and Vertigo Entertainment, with Kate Herron directing and co-writing alongside Briony Redman. EA confirmed in September 2024 that the film will be produced in partnership with Amazon MGM Studios.
