Nicole Kidman is finding solace in an old friend amid her divorce from Keith Urban.
A source tells the National Enquirer that John Travolta has been offering the Oscar-winning actress, 58, “a shoulder to cry on” as she navigates this next chapter.
“John and Nicole bonded decades ago when she was with [Tom Cruise],” explains the source. “They lost touch for a long time but they reconnected not too long ago, so when John heard the news about her and Keith splitting up, he called Nicole right away.”

As the Enquirer previously reported, Kidman has put on a brave front publicly. But in private, she’s in pieces.
“John understands better than most what it’s like to have your private life pulled apart in public [and is] able to give her a lot of great advice on how to get through this,” says the source. “They talk quite a lot now. It’s very sweet and means a lot to Nicole that he cares enough to show his support by checking in.”
It also seems to mean a lot to the 71-year-old widow, who lost his late wife Kelly Preston to breast cancer in 2020.

“People in John’s world are starting to question where he’s got a crush on Nicole because he’s always so upbeat after they have their chats,” the source notes. “He denies it [though] and insists she’s just a wonderful friend.”
Perhaps even a future costar, hints the source. “At the very least, people think they should do a project together. They’d be great paired up on-screen.”
