There’s no better place to be on Saturday nights than Studio 8H. The 51st season of Saturday Night Live is now underway, having kicked off on October 4 with soon-to-be Super Bowl performer Bad Bunny as that week’s host and current Fortnite villain Doja Cat as the musical guest. Since then, we’ve seen Amy Poehler, Role Model, and Sabrina Carpenter grace Studio 8H. But who else is set to walk through 30 Rock this season?
The legendary sketch comedy show is going strong on NBC, with no signs of slowing down. While competition is stiff nowadays—with the increasingly popular Dropout providing an alternative brand of humor and I Think You Should Leave slated to return to Netflix at some point in the future—Saturday Night Live still represents the pinnacle of live comedy. After celebrating its monumental 50th season back in February, season 51 will see SNL cross another milestone with its 1,000th episode.
But broadcast TV isn’t your only fix for SNL. Streaming now on Netflix is the 2024 film Saturday Night. Directed by Jason Reitman, Saturday Night follows the 90 minutes leading up to the show’s premiere in 1975. Also streaming now on Peacock is Downey Wrote That, a new hour-long documentary chronicling the life and career of Jim Downey, the longest tenured writer in SNL history.

Every new episode of Saturday Night Live airs Saturday nights (when else?), beginning at 11:30 p.m. Eastern. Some episodes may air a few minutes late due to programming delays. For example, the recent October 18 episode (with Sabrina Carpenter as that week’s host) was delayed due to USC v. Notre Dame running long.
