Thelma & Louise stars Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis are back together again.
The actresses, who starred in the iconic 1991 film as two friends who embark on a road trip and find themselves in a world full of trouble, were spotted together at Rhode Island Comic Con, where guests could take a photo alongside them. Sarandon, 79, who is also known for films such as Dead Man Walking, Stepmom, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, wore a black cap with her curly red bangs peeking out from the front. Davis, 69, who has left her stamp on cinema with films like A League of Their Own, Beetlejuice, and The Accidental Tourist, smiled brightly in a colorful knit cardigan sweater and jeans. The gentleman who took his picture alongside them, pretending to be driving a car, played on the film’s road trip theme.
Davis is Rarely on Social Media
Davis tends to stay under the radar these days. While she doesn’t post pictures of herself on her social media page like most celebs, she occasionally can be spotted making a cameo on other people’s. She was recently spotted looking absolutely incredible in a snap shared by stunning actress Joanna Cassidy. Smiling for a selfie alongside Cassidy, Davis looked better than ever.
“What a memorable time at Dabney Coleman‘s memorial at the iconic restaurant #dantanasrestaurant with family and friends. @geenadavisorg and I shared stories of Buffalo Bill!!!! Incredible comedy we did together in the eighties!!!!! Brilliant!!!” Cassidy captioned the sweet photo.
Sarandon Made Her London Stage Debut
Sarandon continues to tackle exciting new challenges. While she’s been on and off Broadway many times in her long career, she hit the London stage for the first time last month at The Old Vic Theatre in Tracy Letts’s play Mary Page Marlowe alongside Andrea Riseborough. Her appearance was her London stage debut, the New York Times reported.
Deadline reported that in a comment released via The Old Vic, Sarandon said: ”I’m so honored to be asked to be in a play during Matthew Warchus’ final season at The Old Vic. Terrified but excited.”
