The Big Brother winner reportedly wants nothing more than a ‘stable’ and ‘normal’ life
Despite her Big Brother victory and securing a presenting role on This Morning, Josie Gibson simply craves a “normal life” and would “happily” live in a caravan indefinitely.
According to reports, she’s currently living in a mobile home while her home undergoes renovation.
Josie claimed the Big Brother crown in 2010 and has since become a regular segment presenter for This Morning, a Loose Women panellist and competed on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, where she secured fourth place, The Mirror reports.
She’s set to feature in her own ITV programme called Josie Gibson’s Big Country Build, documenting the renovation of her £1million Somerset mansion.
According to The Sun, a source has revealed that Josie “dreams” of a peaceful existence.
The source stated that all of her West Country neighbours have questioned “why she stayed put” when she could “have the life most of us can only dream of”.
They said: “She laughs it off and always says this is the life she dreams of.”
They continued that she “doesn’t care” about celebrity status and instead “wants to settle down with a nice man” and establish a “stable family life” for herself and her seven year old son Reggie.
The television personality is presently single – speculation linked her romantically to TikTok star Sam Wolfenden after the pair were spotted together at the Cheltenham Festival, but he is engaged to his childhood sweetheart Grace.
Despite reportedly preferring to keep out of the public eye, Josie is set to appear in her very own television programme in the near future.
In her upcoming ITV series, she will be joined by her brothers Charlie and Josh, along with her cousin Tom, as they team up with a group of local tradespeople to renovate her home.
While the work is being carried out, she has temporarily relocated to a caravan.
A source said that Josie would “happily live in a caravan forever”, adding that she is “working towards the life she’s always dreamed of”, which includes a “home filled with love” and a “man she can truly rely on”, reports the Mirror.
During a recent appearance on Good Morning Britain, she light-heartedly admitted she was “skint” as a result of the renovation costs. She said: “I’ve actually roped the family in. They say never to work with family or animals, and I’ve done just that.”
She further revealed that the project had taken an emotional toll on her. “To say my stress levels are up here… [the family] are great, they are amazing, but there are a lot of challenges, let’s say. I’ve had a lot of sleepless nights.”
The insider told The Sun that Josie is continuing to pursue her television career “to secure a future for her and Reggie”, and that while fame isn’t something she particularly relishes, “she’s not silly enough to turn the money down”.
