Thrice-divorced Robin Wright still believes in love

Robin Wright still believes in love, after three divorces.
The 59-year-old actress insisted that despite her previous heartbreak, she is optimistic about her future and her broken relationships have not affected her belief about “how wonderful [love is] when it comes again.”
She told AARP The Magazine: “You can go through tumultuous, distressing relationships, but we rebound, don’t we? Our hearts rebound with a belief that it’s still there and it can be achieved and how wonderful when it comes again.”
Robin was married to the late Dane Witherspoon in from 1986 to 1988. She wed Sean Penn in 1996 and while the pair briefly separated in 2007, the later rekindled their romance before finally divorcing in 2010. They welcomed two children, daughter Dylan and son Hopper, during their union. Robin was engaged to Ben Foster until they split for good in 2015.And, she went on to tie the knot with Clement Giraudet in 2018 but they filed for divorce in 2022, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
The actress has been dating British-Australian architect Henry Smith since 2024, after meeting when she asked if she could feed his dog a piece of her steak in a pub.
She told The Times: “[Another stranger] goes, ‘No, it’s not my dog, it’s his dog’. And Henry was standing at the bar, and he put his pint down, came over to me and grabbed my shoulders. He goes, ‘Who the f*** are you?’ And I said, ‘Who the f*** are you?’ And that was it.”
She added that they bonded when they caught COVID-19 together, explaining: “We were lying in bed, deathly ill, crying, laughing, hugging, loving, snogging, f******. Just like, ‘I want to know you.’
“He is a sweetheart and just a good, decent adult. He’s a man.”
