The major news around the league heading into the weekend’s games centers on the North Carolina Courage, who suddenly and with little explanation dismissed head coach Sean Nahas Wednesday night. Friday’s game against a Houston Dash team desperately needing a win to reignite their season was already a big one for two teams looking to get into the playoff picture, but a baffling Thursday press conference about the change means the spotlight is now on the Courage.
In the nightcap, the last-place Utah Royals host the mighty Current.
