Dancing With the Stars just got a whole lot better after Tom Bergeron dropped an exciting update this Wednesday on Good Morning America.
Beloved ABC’s long-running competition series host, Tom Bergeron, who left Dancing with the Stars in 2020, will finally be returning as the guest judge for Season 34’s ninth episode, The 20th Birthday Party, a 20th anniversary special, this Tuesday.
He will be sitting alongside judges Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Derek Hough.
“It feels really good. I’m really looking forward to it.” Bergeron said while announcing his return on Good Morning America.
Bergeron had a lasting relationship with DWTS. He hosted the show from its launch in 2005 and, fifteen years later, exited following the controversial casting of then-President Donald Trump’s White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer in Season 28.
Tom further credited original and current showrunner Conrad Green for convincing him to waltz back to the ballroom and join his longtime family. “He really kind of extended the olive branch and got me reminiscing about all the fond memories.”
Catch the 20th anniversary special of Dancing with the Stars on November 11, at 8 p.m. ET and PT on ABC and Disney+.
