Tom Cruise has snubbed Donald Trump and declined an invite to receive a Kennedy Center Honor, according to reports.
The President announced on Wednesday the list of celebrities who will receive the honor. Sylvester Stallone, Gloria Gaynor, KISS, George Strait and Michael Crawford will be honored at a ceremony held on December 7.
It’s been announced Trump will host the ceremony. One person who reportedly won’t be at the event, however, is Tom Cruise.
Cruise was offered to be included in the honors list, but rejected the invite due to “scheduling conflicts,” according to The Washington Post. The Express US has approached Cruise’s representatives for comment.
Trump announced this year’s honorees in a press conference.
The 2025 Kennedy Center Honors will celebrate those in the performing arts for their contributions to American culture. The ceremony will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+ later in the year.
Tom has been very busy this past year, most recently working on a comedy film directed and produced by Alejandro G. Iñárritu.
The project is currently untitled and is set to be released in October 2026. The movie will also star Jesse Plemons and John Goodman.
