After wrapping up in Rhode Island, production on Glenn Powell’s upcoming movie migrated just over the border into Massachusetts.
The “Top Gun” actor filmed scenes for J.J. Abrams’ new film “Ghostwriter” in Seekonk this past weekend, the Seekonk Police Department wrote in a Facebook post Sunday.
“Hollywood comes to Seekonk,“ the post, which included a photo of officers posing with the Powell, read.
“Members of the Department were happy to assist with a security detail for the new Glen Powell/J.J. Abrams movie while the production team filmed scenes at the Seekonk Target on Commerce Way,” it continued.
This came after Powell was spotted filming in Providence last week. Just Jared posted photos of the “Anyone but You” star riding a bike while covered in fake blood and leaning outside an apartment window to seemingly let a spider out.
The actor’s family was also spotted in East Providence, according to Mayor Bob DaSilva.
“I had the pleasure of meeting the parents of Glen Powell, Glen Sr. and Cyndy Powell as well as world famous movie star Glen Powell and Super Star Writer Director J.J. Abrams on the East Bay Bike Path,” DaSilva wrote in a Facebook post.
Details surrounding “Ghostwriter” are mostly unknown. The movie has been described as an American fantasy film.
It will also star Jenna Ortega, Emma Mackey and Samuel L. Jackson, according to IMDb.
