Triune Entertainment announces its official “Search for Sandy” contest! This community-wide casting call aims to find the perfect canine companion for its upcoming production of the beloved musical Annie, set to premiere this November in Vint Hill.
The production team is on the lookout for a local dog to play Sandy, Annie’s loyal four-legged friend. The ideal Sandy should be well-behaved and comfortable on stage. All breeds, sizes, and ages are welcome to audition!
Search for Sandy – Dog Audition Details
Date: Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, 3 p.m.
Location: Vint Hill Dog Park
Requirements: Pre-registration is required! Dogs must be leash-trained and able to follow basic commands.

“We’re inviting the community to help us find a furry friend who can steal the spotlight and hearts,” said Triune Entertainment’s co-founder Matt Moore. “Sandy is more than a character—he’s Annie’s hope and comfort. We want to find a dog that brings that same warmth to our stage.”
The winning dog will receive:
- A featured role in all performances of Annie
- One-on-one training sessions with key members of the cast
- Professional production photos of their time in the spotlight
Triune’s production of Annie will have a limited run of nine shows from Nov. 6 to 16 at the Journey Theater in Vint Hill.
