“Rock the Block” season seven will be the first time in series history that celebrities are competing alongside design experts, and host Ty Pennington is already thinking about casting for season eight.

“[I want to see] Lenny Kravitz because he would probably slay,” Pennington revealed to PauseRewind reporter Sabra Satz-Kojis.
“Who else? Someone dark,” he then contemplated. “Well, if we’re gonna stick with musicians, let’s go with Trent Reznor. What would that be like?”

He continued, “But then maybe we should also bring in a country star, too. God, who could that be, though?” And then, the perfect name came to him: “Dierks Bentley.”
Sounds like “Rock the Block” needs to film a music season ASAP.
“I mean, look. It’s endless,” Pennington explained. “But you know who also watches the show? Michelle Obama watches the show. There are so many big names and like, what if these people got involved? That would be insane.”

As for season seven, fans can expect to see Brooke Hogan, Drew Lachey, Chelsea Meissner, and Vernon Davis competing in pairs with HGTV stars Mina Starsiak Hawk, Scott McGillivray, Kim Wolfe, and Taniya Nayak.
“I think what’s great about this show is even if you’re good, you’ve got to be great on this show, on ‘Rock the Block,’” Pennington said. “But when you’re working with not only a friend or a spouse or, God forbid, a stranger you’ve never worked with, and then have to come up with like, the greatest design you’ve ever come up with, and then have them agree with you? That is impossible, and yet these people do it.”
“It makes for not only great TV, it makes for great design, and I think that’s why we love this show,” he added.
