The Flagship City Curling League holds curling matches every Monday and Thursday in downtown Erie. Here is how the sport is played.

Taylor Mason: March 5-7 at 7 p.m. at Kellar’s: A Modern Magic & Comedy Club at 1402 State St. $25 plus fees. A quick wit, flawless delivery comedy ventriloquist.
Erie Reptile Expo: March 7 at 9 a.m. at 2319 W. 38th St. $7.23 plus fees. A one-day celebration of reptiles, amphibians, and exotic pets.
“Junie B.’s Essential Survival Guide to School Jr.”: March 6-8 and March 12-15 at the Erie Playhouse at 13 W. 10th St. $20.40 plus fees. Based on the bestselling book series, the hilarious first-grader returns. After a year and a half of school, Junie B. Jones is the perfect expert to share everything you need to know about navigating elementary school.
Nature’s Symphony: March 9 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Free. Join Presque Isle State Park for an hour-long virtual program that features calming soundscapes of Presque Isle, Erie Bluffs and other featured state parks. Learn how nature sounds can be used as a tool for relaxation virtually and in everyday life. Register by March 6.
“Kinky Boots“: March 10-11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Warner Theatre at 811 State St. $65-$79 plus fees. Part of the Broadway in Erie series. “Kinky Boots” follows the journey of two people with nothing in common, or so they think. The pair discover that you can change the world when you change your mind.
“The Underground Railroad“: March 11, 18 and 25 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 1020 Collective at 1020 Holland St. $10-$30. A limited series with Rhonda Matthews, who discusses the award-winning 10 episode limited series from filmmaker Berry Jenkins.
“Ripcord”: March 12-14 at 7:30 p.m., March 15 at 2 p.m. and March 19-21 at 7 p.m. at Performing Artists Collective Alliance at 1505 State St. $22.94. A play about seemingly harmless bet between two old women quickly escalates into a dangerous game of one-upmanship that reveals not just the tenacity of these worthy opponents, but also deeper truths that each would rather remain hidden.
Matt Stanley: March 13-14 at 7 p.m. at Kellar’s: A Modern Magic & Comedy Club at 1402 State St. $25 plus fees. Matt Stanley combines stand-up comedy with magic. He has been featured on NBC and FOX while appearing on “Night Shift with Kevin Ferguson.”
Life of a Honeybee: March 13 at 1 p.m. Virtual event. Free. Join a naturalist and learn about the amazing biology and life cycle of one of natures hardest workers, the honeybee. A link to join the program will be sent out to all registrants the day before the event. Register by March 10.
Northwest PA Maple Taste and Tour: March 14 and 15 at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at various sugar shacks around Erie County. Free. Now in its 23rd year, the Northwest PA Maple Taste & Tour is one of the state’s largest maple weekends, featuring backyard sugar shacks, student-run operations and large-scale producers. Step inside a real sugar shack, see how sap is transformed into syrup, and meet the local producers who make Pennsylvania maple so special.
Seed by Seed We Save the Bees: March 16 at 9:30 a.m. at 301 Peninsula Drive, room 108. Free. Hosted by DCNR, this is a hands-on program where participants create eco-friendly seed bombs from recycled paper to support pollinators and restore native habitat. Great for all ages.
“Riverdance“: Part of the Broadway in Erie series. March 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Warner Theatre at 811 State St. $72-$86 plus fees. “Riverdance” is a global cultural dance sensation with Grammy award-winning music, new innovative choreography and costumes.
“A Wake in the West: An Irish Comedy“: March 18, 21, 22, 28 and 29 at Saturdays at 5:30 p.m., Sundays at 2:30 p.m. and Wednesdays at noon at Station Dinner Theater at 4940 Peach St. $32.62- $56.08 plus fees. Meals included. Tom has drunk himself to death. This causes his family and friends to pay their respects while planning his cremation and deal with visitors at the wake.
“The Teachers Lounge Live and Uncensored“: March 20-21 at Kellar’s: A Modern Magic & Comedy Club at 1402 State St. at 7 p.m. $25 plus fees. Lisa Ann the “Glam Ham,” a former teacher and now full-time comic, says anything that a teaching contract won’t let you. It’s an evening of laugh-out-loud staff lounge only humor.
K-Pop Demons Event: March 20 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Aquillbella Boutique at 2415 W. 26th St. $40. The ultimate K-pop-inspired hangout for kids. Join Aquillbella Boutique for an exciting K-Pop Demons Event packed with music, creativity and tons of fun. Perfect for fans who love all things K-pop and cool vibes.
“New World Symphony“: March 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Warner Theatre at 811 State St. $17-$63 plus fees. This Erie Philharmonic concert features award-winning pianist Sean Chen. Embark on a timeless celebration of discovery in a musical journey that bursts with hope.
“Bored Teachers: Is it Friday, Yet?“: March 22 at 3 p.m. at Warner Theatre at 811 State St. $40-$88 plus fees. Bored Teachers is back with new jokes, bigger laughs and the most relatable teacher comedy.
Tiny Worlds: Building Terrariums: March 23 at 9:30 a.m. at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center at 301 Peninsula Drive. Free. Transform discarded bottles into miniature ecosystems with our terrarium-making workshop, where you’ll learn to create sustainable green spaces perfect for any home, office or classroom. Great for all ages. Must register by March 20.
Cavity Nesters of Pennsylvania: March 24 at 6 p.m. at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center at 301 Peninsula Drive. Free. Learn about cavity-nesting birds with a fun, hands-on program. Learn why these birds rely on nest boxes and how you can support them. Then get creative by painting a gourd nesting box to take home and use to attract birds of your own. Must register by March 18.
Marcus Monroe and Ran’D Shine: March 26-28 at 7 p.m. at Kellar’s: A Modern Magic & Comedy Club at 1402 State St. $25 plus fees. Marcus Monroe is an award-winning comedian. His show is a blend of quick one liners, silly stories and akwardness. Ran’D Shine is a magician and comedian known for performing real magic for real people.
Presque Isle After Dark: Long Pond Trail: March 26 at 7 p.m. Meet at the East Pier parking lot at Presque Isle. Free. Experience Presque Isle at dusk on a guided 1.5-mile evening hike with park educators. Wander easy trails along the lagoons while learning about migrating wildlife and watching the sky, water, and forest come alive as the sun sets. Dress for the weather and bring a pair of binoculars if you have them.
“Sixtiesmania-A Journey Through the ‘60s“: March 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Warner Theatre at 811 State St. $52-70 plus fees. A full sweep of the 1960s from The Beatles to British Invasion to the anthems of Woodstock and beyond.
Pete George: March 27-28 at 7 p.m. at Kellar’s Modern Magic and Comedy Club at 1402 State St. $25 plus fees. Pete George is one of Cleveland’s top lead guitarists who helped spearhead the petition to bring the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to Cleveland. At the same time he took his quick wit and tried stand-up comedy where he now has over 10,000 shows under his belt.
Mimicry and Camouflage: March 27 at 1 p.m. Virtual event. Free. Join a DCNR naturalist and discover how some of natures creatures have evolved to hide in plain sight using mimicry and camouflage. A link to join the program will be sent to all registrants the day before the event. Must register by March 24.
Easter Egg Hunt and Breakfast with the Easter Bunny: March 29 at 9 a.m. at the firehall at 7275 Buffalo Road. $6-$12. Presented by the Harborcreek Fire Department. Egg hunt begins at 9 a.m. for ages 12 and under. Easter Bunny will be available for pictures.
Natural Wonders of Presque Isle: March 31 at 10 a.m. Free. Virtual event. A captivating journey through the natural wonders of the park. Hear the stories behind these unforgettable encounters and gain a deeper appreciation for the wildlife and landscapes that make this place so special. Register by March 26.
