
‘Ranabaali’ first look: Vijay Deverakonda stars, Rahul Sankrityan directs
The team of South Indian actor Vijay Deverakonda revealed the title of his new film, Ranabaali, and shared the release date on Republic Day.
The movie was first called VD 14. Rahul Sankrityan directed it. Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna played the lead roles. The film was set to release worldwide on September 11, 2026.
Along with the title, the makers released a short glimpse. The video showed the setting and mood of the film. It had scenes from 19th-century India. The clip showed how British rule affected people and their daily struggles.
Vijay played Ranabaali, a strong and intense character. Rashmika Mandanna played Jayamma. Arnold Vosloo appeared as Sir Theodore Hector, the villain.
The film was Vijay’s third project with Mythri Movie Makers after Dear Comrade and Khushi. It also reunited him with Rahul Sankrityan after Taxiwaala.
Ranabaali brought Vijay and Rashmika together again after Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade.
