Vogue World 2025 took Hollywood by storm this weekend.
The annual fashion and cultural event, hosted by the renowned style magazine, arrived in California Sunday, bringing together models, movie-stars, and music royalty. After traveling abroad to London and Paris, in 2023 and 2024, respectively, the event returned to the states with a bang Oct. 26, featuring performances from Gracie Abrams and Doja Cat, and a high-fashion tribute to actress Diane Keaton.
Abrams, dressed in a chic maroon number from Chanel’s spring/summer 2026 collection, treated audiences at the Paramount Pictures Studios Lot to a rendition of Carole King’s 1971 classic “I Feel the Earth Move” as well as a performance of “That’s So True,” the viral hit off her 2024 album “The Secret of Us.”
During the runway finale, Doja Cat, fresh off the release of her latest album “Vie,” took to the catwalk in a striking chainmail dress to perform a slightly altered version of her lead single “Gorgeous.” The dress, designed by Michael Schmidt, was inspired by Tina Turner’s look in the ’80s film “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.”
Vogue World pays tribute to Diane Keaton
Elsewhere in the show, the fashion and film world came together to honor actress Diane Keaton, who died Oct. 11 from pneumonia at 79. Over the course of a decades-long career, Keaton became known for her keen sartorial choices, often redefining femininity with a slouchy trouser and fitted vest.
At Vogue World, model Besty Gaghan, the daughter of film director Stephen Gaghan, walked the runway in Keaton’s signature look from the movie “Annie Hall.”
Nicole Kidman, Kendall Jenner, Dakota Johnson stun on Vogue World Runway
The event’s star power didn’t stop there, though.
Dakota Johnson also stepped out in a baby pink Valentino number, pairing the embroidered seashell design of the gown with a simple black clutch.
Actress Nicole Kidman also took to the runway, closing the show in a high-slit black gown with an Old Hollywood style up-do, alongside famed director and “Moulin Rouge” collaborator Baz Luhrmann.
Kendall Jenner, pulling double duty as both a celebrity and a runway model, wore a flapper-like leotard, accentuating the silver-dipped look with fishnets, pumps, and a bespoke top hat. The outfit was a tribute to “Moulin Rouge,” and Kidman’s iconic fashion in the film.
What is Vogue World?
Vogue World is part runway show, part concert and part philanthropic event. It is aimed at combining the cultural influence of its host city with the daring fashion that dances across the pages of the magazine.
For the 2025 Hollywood edition, creators hoped to celebrate “the rich conversation between film and fashion,” by taking the event to Tinseltown and honoring notable film genres and costume designers.
