Waimea Community Theatre Presents “Young Frankenstein The Musical : Big Island Events : Big Island Now

Join us to witness this amazing musical written by Mel Brooks. Mel adapted his legendarily funny film into a brilliant stage creation – Young Frankenstein. 
Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (we have been asked by Frederick to remind everyone that it is pronounced “Frank-en-steen”) inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (Pronounced Eye-Gore”), and a leggy lad assistant, Inga. Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. “It’s alive!” He exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather’s. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity abounds.

If you loved the classic movie you will really love this Musical! Filled with such  memorable tunes as “The Transylvania Mania”, “He vas My Boyfriend” and that classic all time favorite “Puttin on the Ritz” by Irving Berlin. Young Frankenstein is a scientifically proven, monstrously good time!
