1995’s Clueless taught us many valuable lessons: high school boys aren’t worth the fuss, Calvin Klein makes the perfect slip dress and that even if something seems perfect from a distance, up close it’s probably a mess. The all-star cast captured the chaos of high-school life and early romance, popularising ’90s slang along the way.

Stacey Dash played the straight-talking best friend we all wanted. Dionne Davenport sported plenty of iconic headwear, knew how to rock a check print just as well as Cher and had one of Clueless’ favourite love stories with boyfriend Murray. Just don’t ever, ever, call her ‘woman’!
Following her star role in Clueless, Stacey reprised her role for the TV series adaptation of the same name, worked on 2003’s View from the Top and 2007’s I Could Never Be Your Woman. Recently, she’s been cast in 2025 thriller The Doctor with Two Faces and 2024 drama Four.

Brittany Murphy’s Tai journey to love is anything but straightforward

Brittany Murphy’s Tai is everything sweet, though her style runs more slacker than designer cool. Dionne and Cher decide to makeover their new friend, but soon Cher’s new-found ‘project’ back fires when Brittany surpasses her popularity and starts falling for Paul Rudd’s Josh.
Brittany went on to voice act for King of the Hill between 1997-2010. She also appeared on screen in Girl, Interrupted (1999), Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) and voiced Gloria in Happy Feet (2006). Tragically, the star passed from pneumonia at just 32 years old in 2009.

Alicia Silverstone heads up the Clueless cast as Cher Horowitz, the glamorous ’90s variation on Jane Austen’s Emma Woodhouse. She might seem like she’s all about the shopping, but Cher proves herself to be a loyal, determined and responsible friend and daughter throughout the film. And, of course, gets the guy.
Since leaving the halls of high-school, Alicia took a break from Hollywood but has fortunately returned, taking on heavier roles in psychological thriller Bugonia, drama series Irish Blood and erotic thriller Pretty Thing. But don’t worry, the actress hasn’t entirely abandoned the rom-com genre, starring in Netflix Christmas feature AMerry Little Ex-Mas (2025).

Donald Faison is still busy on screen today, but we remember him best as Dionne’s beloved Murray

Dionne’s smooth-talking Murray, played by Donald Faison, doesn’t always get things right. But if there’s one thing the man knows how to do, it’s apologise. The couple’s arguments are rarely more than a performance and prove that a high-school romance doesn’t have to be filled with drama – at least some of the time.
While on screen we’re sure the couple eventually tied the knot, off screen Donald has been busy on Scrubs since 2001, starred in sitcom The Exes and was cast as leading man on sitcom Extended Family.

Paul Rudd’s Josh had plenty of ’90s teens swooning with his smarts and smiles

Paul Rudd might now have reached the heights of superstardom, but in 1995 we loved him best as Cher’s politically motivated former step-brother and eventual crush – it’s more romantic on-screen, trust us. The environmentally conscious and ever-protective leading man knew how to yearn and we’ve loved him ever since.
Of course, Clueless wasn’t Paul’s only hit on the big screen. The actor has since starred in Ant-Man, The 40-year-old Virgin, This Is 40 and Jack Black comedy Anaconda (2025). With decades-long success, Paul has kept up his reputation as an ‘ageless’ star, just as much a heartthrob today as he was 31 years ago.

Justin Walker brought the stylish Christian to life in Clueless. While Cher, at first, tries to romantically pursue him, she soon figures out they’re meant to be friends and finds a mall-buddy for life in the transfer student.
Following his Clueless fame, Justin had a few roles in the late ’90s and early 2000s including Boltneck, Born Bad and Perfect Lover but has since left acting behind. He purchased Teddy Teadle’s Grill in California in 2010, which has since closed, and now reportedly works in the tech and fantasy sports industry.

Elisa Donovan starred as the mean girl we loved to hate, Amber Mariens. We can’t imagine anyone else bringing the same level of snark and likability to the character, or styling out her vicious comments so well. Her most recent credit sees her back in the romance genre with 2025 Hallmark movie Double Scoop.
After Clueless cut the cameras, Elisa returned for the TV show of the same name. Following that, she starred in three seasons of Sabrina the Teenage Witch and has appeared on Beverly Hills, 90210 (1999), Judging Amy (1995-2005) and Jack & Jill (1999-2001).

We weren’t sure whether to crush or cringe at Elton’s attempts to woo Cher – that is, until he abandoned her at a liquor station in the middle of the night. Jeremy Sisto had us all wincing as the smarmy posh-boy who flits about with his affections, but we wouldn’t want a Clueless world without him.
Jeremy is still a regular on screen, featuring on FBI between 2018-2026, starring in CIA (2026) and working once again with Clueless co-star Paul Rudd in Rain Reign (2026).

Breckin Meyer’s laidback skateboarder Travis might not be Cher’s idea of the perfect match for her new friend Tai, but it’s clear to the audience that sparks fly the second they discover a shared love of Marvin the Martian.
With five Primetime Emmy nominations to his name, it’s clear Breckin has made an impact on the small screen. He followed Clueless with an uncredited role in cult classic Can’t Hardly Wait (1998), starred in Inside Schwartz (2001-2002) and voice acted for stop motion sketch show Robot Chicken (2005-2022). The actor most recently appeared in 2026 comedy Busboys with David Spade.
