Get your birthday party hats on because it’s a “Dancing With the Stars” birthday party.
Last week, on Tuesday, Nov. 4, it was Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night, where Flavor Flav joined as a guest judge, the team competition took place and the remaining couples danced to classic hits celebrating the legends of Rock.
Team Chicago won with the only perfect score of the season so far, a 40/40. Danielle Fishel (actress in “Boy Meets World” and “Girl Meets World”) and pro Pasha Pashkov were sent home after having a low score at the end of the night and receiving the fewest audience votes.
This week, on Tuesday, Nov. 11, former host Tom Bergeron will return to the ballroom as a guest judge. There will be an opening number to the “Dancing with the Stars Theme” by Ray Chew, choreographed by Derek Hough with current pros, the troupe and six original pros from Season 1. There will also be a performance in honor of the dancers they’ve lost over the years to “Always Remember Us This Way” by Lady Gaga, choreographed and performed by Ezra Sosa and Rylee Arnold.
In the first round, each couple will perform a new style to a song inspired by an iconic freestyle performance from past seasons. Later, there will be the Relay Dance competition, where one couple performs the first half of a song, followed by a second couple who completes the second half. The judges then decide the winner of each relay, who earns two bonus points.
For the first time ever, celebrities will dance without their professional partners in the relay, instead joining forces with a returning Mirrorball champion to perform a Quickstep, Viennese Waltz or Jive.
