Karen Derrico is known for her role as a TLC star, but she’s also been making headlines for a recent arrest.
Karen made her TLC debut in 2020 when Doubling Down With the Derricos premiered. The reality show followed Karen and her then-husband, Deon Derrico, along with their 14 children.
Doubling Down With the Derricos ran for five seasons on TLC, coming to an end in 2024 after Karen and Deon’s divorce. Two years later, news broke that Karen was arrested after allegedly threatening to kill Deon and their kids.
She was arraigned in June 2026 and pleaded not guilty. TMZ confirmed that Karen was released from police custody on a $2,000 bond and was outfitted with an ankle monitor.
“The allegations are completely false,” Karen’s attorney Jess Marchese told Oxygen True Crime in a statement at the time. “And we will prove they were completely fabricated by Mr. Derrico.”

Who Is Karen Derrico?
Karen rose to fame with her large family in 2020 after Doubling Down With the Derricos premiered on TLC.
In 2002, Karen — a South Carolina native — relocated to Detroit to work as a flight attendant. She met Deon in a club and they hit it off. While Karen was a full-time stay-at-home mom during the show, she previously ran her own preschool.

Deon and Karen announced in June 2024 that they were getting divorced.

The former couple are the parents of 14 kids.
Karen gave birth to Darian in 2005 before welcoming Derrick in 2010. Twin boys Denver and Dallas were born in 2011. Karen gave birth to quintuplets Deniko, Dariz, Deonee, Daician and Daiten in 2013. They welcomed triplets Diez, Dior and Carter in 2017. (Carter died shortly after childbirth.)
Their second set of triplets, Dawsyn, De’Aren and Dyver, were born in 2019.
Why Did Karen Derrico Get Arrested?
TMZ obtained court docs in June 2026 claiming that Karen was arrested in Las Vegas and charged with harassment, violating a restraining order, preventing a witness from testifying through threat of violence and aggravated stalking.
She was accused of sending several threatening emails to Deon, seemingly threatening him and the kids.
