The third night of Live Shows for America’s Got Talent featured performances from the 11 artists hoping to be voted through by America to make the semifinals. Three of them will make it on America’s vote; seven of them will come to the end of their AGT journey.
The eleventh, Micha Palace, won Simon Cowell’s Live Golden Buzzer, and was sent straight through to the Sept. 23 finale, getting to skip the semifinal competition.
Week 1 saw Jourdan Blue, LightWire and Sirca Marea win America’s vote and head into the semifinals, week 2’s vote moved on Bay Melnick Virgolino, Leo High School Choir, and Unreal.
The other lucky winners of the Live Golden Buzzer, sending them straight through to the finale, are Steve Ray Ladsen, who won Sofia Vergara’s Live Golden Buzzer and Mama Duke, who won Mel B’s buzzer. America’s Got Talent Night 3 Results Show Recap
The night kicked off with a performance by former AGT contestant violinist/dancer/songwriter Lindsey Stirling and a recap of Tuesday night’s quarterfinal performances, including a brief look at Simon’s Live Golden Buzzer winner: Micah Palace.
Then host Terry Crews got down to the real business of the night: the results of America’s votes. He first revealed the Top 5.
Facing off first were rapper Chris Turner and dancer Maceo Harrison. The first act in the Top 5 was Chris Turner.
The second group included two dangers acts Jacqueline & Wagner and Anna Saranina. The thumbs up went to Jacqueline & Wagner.
The third group was comprised of Benn Family Band and Jessica Sanchez. The Benn Family Band didn’t get 100 percent from the judges on Tuesday night, so it wasn’t a surprise that it was Jessica who went into the Top 5.
The fourth spot was determined between magician Mastermind and musician Austin Brown. Making the Top 5 was Mastermind.
The final spot was between Indian rock band Girish and the Chronicles and danger act Messoudi Brothers. Still in the competition were Messoudi Brothers.
Former AGT contestants Austrian mentalist duo The Clairvoyants provided an entertainment break as they impressed the judges and the audience with their skill.
Then it was back to the results reveal. The first act making it into the semifinals was Mastermind. The second act was Chris Turner. And the final act taking a spot in the semifinals was Jessica Sanchez.
America’s Got Talent airs Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Streams next day on Peacock.
