Zoë Kravitz is a first-time Emmy nominee, and yet, the actor decided to miss out on the 77th Emmy Awards.
The star was notably missing from the stream of Hollywood stars who walked the red carpet tonight at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater for the annual award show.
Tonight is actually a big night for Kravitz, as she is nominated for the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series award for her performance in the Apple TV+ show The Studio.
The last time the actor attended the Emmys was in 2017, when her show Big Little Lies was nominated for several awards, however, she did not receive an individual nomination at the time.
Her absence, however, makes sense to anyone who has experienced the beginning of a major romance. This month, leading up to the Emmys, Kravitz has been showing out at New York Fashion Week events as well relaxing during romantic getaways with new beau Harry Styles. Just this past Friday, the two were seen looking loved-up during a walk in Rome, Italy. Kravitz kept things simple in–you guessed it–a little black dress, styled with red flats, while Styles wore his favorite blue jacket along with jeans, a white tee, and white sneakers.
It’s a shame the “Watermelon Sugar” singer and the actor skipped walking the red carpet tonight to make their romance Emmy Awards-official. But who can blame them for wanting to stay in the honeymoon phase of their new relationship for a little while longer?
