Ariana Grande may have teased a new song for the highly-popular musical and fans cannot emotionally handle it.
The 32-year-old singer took to Instagram to post the new teaser for sequel Wicked: For Good on Wednesday.
The very opening of clip sees Ariana in character as Glinda while surrounded by performers in teal suits and pink shirts.
There is slight musical accompaniment as she signs several documents and sings ‘good good good.’
The scene looks unlike anything in the stage musical and the song also does not sound familiar to diehard fans leading many to believe it was a tease of a new song.
There will be two new songs in the highly anticipated sequel but fans of the Broadway musical should not be alarmed as they were written by the original Wicked lyricist and composer Stephen Schwartz.

Of the inclusion of new songs, the 77-year-old American musical theater composer previously told The Messenger: ‘The storytelling required it, and therefore they were created — the intention was that they were organic and not imposed on the movie.
‘There’s new stuff that I think the fans will enjoy. But our hope and intention is that the people to whom the story and the show are important will not in any way be disappointed, but will be thrilled by what they will see and the new stuff that’s been added and the way film is used.’
Meanwhile, Cynthia Erivo’s character Elphaba could be seen reuniting with Glinda in the new teaser after their separation at the end of the first film.
There is also a hint of tension between Glinda and her boyfriend Prince Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey).
Fans flooded the Instagram post of the teaser with comments including: ‘I’ll be sobbing the entire time button >>>>>’
Others believed the short clip already proves that the sequel will be even better than the Oscar nominated first film.
‘This looks even better than the first movie,’ one commenter posted while another wrote: ‘How can this look somehow better than part 1 when part 1 is the best movie ever made [astonished emoji]’

The new clip release comes after it was announced that Ariana is officially heading back on the road.
The pop superstar revealed last week that she will embark on her first tour in seven years, ending a lengthy hiatus from live performances.
A day after teasing the news with cryptic posts on social media, the God Is a Woman hitmaker confirmed the tour in less than 24 hours later.
‘See you next year ♡,’ she captioned her Instagram post, informing her fans when presale tickets go on sale.
The Eternal Sunshine tour will kick off with nine major North American dates before heading overseas for an impressive five-night residency in London.
Additional stops are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Grande’s return to touring marks her first since her split from real estate broker Dalton Gomez in 2023 and comes on the heels of her massive year in film.

The announcement also represents a change in tune for Grande.
Late last year, she told Variety that a tour wasn’t on the horizon, given her focus on acting
‘I feel so grateful to the acting, and I think my fans know that music and being on stage will always be a part of my life, but I don’t see it coming anytime soon,’ she said at the time.
‘I think the next few years, hopefully we’ll be exploring different forms of art, and I think acting is feeling like home right now… I am appreciative for [my fans’] understanding. I’m so grateful for the ways in which we’ve grown together over this whole journey with Wicked. But music will always be a part of my life.’
While she has been prioritizing her acting career over the past few years, the Grammy winner recently reassured fans that she was not ditching music.

She wrote on Instagram in July: ‘Very silly of you all to assume that just because I have my hands full with many things that I plan to abandon singing and music…!!!
‘It is and always has been my lifeline. There will need to be room made for all of it. It may not look exactly like it did before but I much prefer how it looks in my head. I am having fun. I feel grateful and excited and inspired.’
Hinting at a possible tour, Ariana said she was planning to sing for her fans next year and was currently ‘finding a balance’.
She wrote: ‘Finding a balance, between many projects and endeavors I love, and doing it my own way… so I’m working on a plan to sing for you all next year. Even if it’s just for a little.’
