Will Travis Kelce Be In One of Taylor Swift’s Music Videos? Lip Reader’s Video Spurs Theories

As many Swifties know, Taylor Swift‘s fiancé, Travis Kelce, made headlines everywhere when he did a first for any of Swift’s partners: by going on stage on June 23, 2024, at Wembley Stadium in London for her Eras Tour. Now, fans are convinced he’s going to do something else major: be in one of her music videos!

Back in July 2025, before she announced her album The Life of a Showgirl, Swift made headlines for filming a “top secret” music video in Los Angeles. Now, Swift recently confirmed the song “The Fate of Ophelia” would be the first single, and the music video will premiere as part of her The Official Release Party of a Showgirl movie. But is Kelce in it?

Famous TikTok lip reader, @tismejackieg, worked to decode a clip of one of the behind-the-scenes clips of Swift directing the music video. Jackie said, “Taylor might be saying, ‘Could you make sure he’ll be in it only?’”

Along with the lip-reading, fans have already made theories about the song. “The Fate of Ophelia” is already confirmed to be inspired by Hamlet. In Hamlet, Ophelia died by drowning after experiencing a mental breakdown, and many interpreted that breakdown as having her life controlled by men.

Many think it has to do with public perception about her, and big men in music trying to make her story for her; but Kelce being the man who saved her. We won’t know until Oct 3, but fans couldn’t be more excited.

For those who don’t know, Kelce and Swift have been dating since July 2023, but didn’t make their romance known until months later, when Swift arrived at one of his games. (Kelce even talked about his crush on her on his podcast with his brother months prior to this.)

Then, Swift and Kelce announced their engagement news on Aug. 26. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨” Swift captioned a post, revealing several pictures from the intimate moment surrounded by flowers in their backyard garden.
