However, as it turns out, this is all very real. The Walker Bunting-shot campaign, which pairs Hanks with Hallie Batchelder, marks an undeniably shrewd move from the folks at Julie.

The campaign is real, and it’s spectacular. The Running Point actor and Something Out West singer has been enlisted by Julie to embody what’s described by the Julie team as “the stereotypical himbo.” Joining him is Extra Dirty host Hallie Batchelder, seen rocking an “I’m with stupid” t-shirt in several shots from the campaign.
“Having a dumb boyfriend is a universal experience, [but] having one as the father of your children doesn’t have to be,” a Julie rep tells Complex. “Julie’s new campaign, ‘I’m with Stupid,’ meets young women (and whoever they’re dating) at eye level. Starring Chet Hanks and Hallie Batchelder, the campaign embraces the affection we feel toward himbos while also lovingly rolling our eyes at their annoying quirks.”

Chet Hanks hits the gym, inundates Hallie with fit checks, and raps for her
The video element of the new Julie campaign finds Chet Hanks subverting some of the tropes some may have associated with him over the years. In one clip, seen below, he’s seen debuting a rap dedicated to Batchelder, who responds by holding a box of Julie up to the camera.
“My ex-girl left me for a dude without a penny, now I’m rocking with fine shit—that’s you—off the Julie,” he raps while driving. “We got plenty. Pull up to your crib looking beautiful and heavy. She said, ‘Damn, you smell expensive.’ Girl, I know that s**t already.”
