So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
YOUR OLD DROOG – “BRONNY”
Boom bap devotee Your Old Droog is releasing a new EP called Anything Is Possible tomorrow and the first taste is the Kenny Segal-produced closer “Bronny.”

MAVI – “TRIPLE NICKEL” (ft. MIKE)
Indie-rapper MAVI’s new mixtape The Pilot is out now and we’ll have more to say about it later this week, but first, here’s one of the big highlights: a MIKE collab called “Triple Nickel.”

THE NULL CLUB – “OVERGROWN” (FT. MISS GRIT)
Gilla Band guitarist Alan Duggan-Borges has shared a new single under his The Null Club moniker, featuring Miss Grit. “The hypnotic but kind of punishing nature of a 909 kick drum is something I’ve always searched for in music,” he says. “When I first got a 909 drum machine and heard how full the kick drum could be by itself, I got lost in that specific low end for a good few weeks. The studio where I write has some big big subs, so I would sit there for hours chasing the full sound of those drums. That was the starting point of this track. When I had a rough pass of the instrumental done, Miss Grit added vocals and life to the track. The whole thing came together quite naturally and the vocals added so much feel and texture to the track.”

THE LEMON TWIGS – “I’VE GOT A BROKEN HEART” & “FRIDAY (I’M GONNA LOVE YOU)”
The Lemon Twigs are following up 2024’s excellent A Dream is All We Know with a new 7″ single that will be out January 30. “I’ve Got A Broken Heart” is pure jangly powerpop from Brian D’Addario, while b-side “Friday (I’m Gonna Love You)” is by his brother Michael D’Addario and gets just a little more psychedelic (hello electric sitar!). Both are certified earworms.
