Despite it being two months into 2026, the winner of the highest-grossing film of 2025 has finally been decided. For most of 2025, the highest-grossing film at the domestic box office was A Minecraft Movie, grossing $424.1 million. Despite the best efforts from heavy hitters like Wicked: For Good, Avatar: Fire and Ash, and Lilo & Stitch, it seemed like nothing was going to beat A Minecraft Movie, which opened back in April 2025.
