The final trailer for Walt Disney’s Oscar-winning animated film’s sequel, Zootopia 2, has been released, and it seems the movie is yet again en route to making history just like what its predecessor.
The mismatched duo – Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and con artist fox Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) – reunites to save Zootopia from a new threat: a pit viper named Gary De’Snake, the first snake seen in the city in a century. Voiced by Everything Everywhere All At Once star Ke Huy Quan, Gary announces in the trailer, “Snakes aren’t the bad guys. I have to set things right, and when I do, my family will finally be able to come home,” before getting knocked out by Wilde. How and what happens next is for you to find out on November 26!
Set to the tune of Shakira’s new song Zoo, the Zootopia 2 trailer also gives a sneak peek into what new adventure lies ahead for the duo: some unexplored marsh inhabited by a mysterious hidden population of the city. If anything, this journey will test the burgeoning partnership of Hopps and Wilde like never before.
The film will also see the return of Shakira as Gazelle, Idris Elba as Chief Bogo, Bonnie Hunt voicing Bonnie Hopps, Don Lake as Stu Hopps, and Nate Torrence as Clawhauser. It will also feature surprise cameos of Ed Sheeran and songwriter Blake Slatkin.
Zootopia 2 is set to hit theatres on November 26.
