Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania atmospheric metalcore unit 156/Silence will officially release their sixth album late this summer.
The new outing has been titled From a Distance and is slated for a September 4 release through Pure Noise Records. With the announcement comes the LP’s first single, “No Arms,” and its official music video (directed by Errick Easterday. You can check it out below.
From a Distance was produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Josh Schroeder (Lorna Shore, The Plot In You) at his Random Awesome! Recording Studio in Midland, Michigan and features guest appearances from Mike Hranica (The Devil Wears Prada), Alex Reade (Make Them Suffer), and Tony Castrati (Crippling Alchoholism).
156/Silence had the following to say regarding new song “No Arms”:
“‘No Arms’ is about being without a way to protect yourself and what belongs to you. Being alone and afraid, not having any means to control the situations that befall on us. The overwhelming feeling of being helpless until we’re not. Until somebody saves us.”
