Rock station KLAQ-95.5 FM is reviving its street fest tradition with the upcoming KLAQ Rocks the Parks at Southwest University Park. Headliner will be Scott Stapp of Creed.
The KLAQ Street Fest was a popular Downtown festival from 2009 to 2018. The KLAQ Rocks the Park will also be the first concert at the Southwest University Park since the Way Out West Festival in 2023, according to a release.

KLAQ Rock the Parks will take place Saturday, Oct. 4 and feature Grammy-winning songwriter Stapp. The singer has sold more than 53 million records; his music has been streamed over 1 billion times, and he has 11 No. 1 singles. He is currently working on recording the follow-up album to The Space Between the Shadows (2019), which debuted at the top of the Rock and Album charts in the US and UK.
Poppy, who was nominated for a Grammy for Best Metal Performance for Bloodmoney in 2021, Dead Poet Society, and Hooked Like Helen, will open the show. The event will start at 6:30 p.m. Gates for the general public will open at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets, starting at $44.90 and depending on the seat location, are on sale at mlb.tickets.com and the Southwest University Park Durango box office.

How to attend VIP Pre-Show set with Dead Poet Society
KLAQ and Leg Up Entertainment are offering a VIP Pre-Show Acoustic Set and Q&A with Dead Poet Society on Saturday, Oct. 4.
Fans with a VIP ticket to KLAQ Rocks the Park will enjoy exclusive early entry at 5 p.m. through the Big Dog House, a private VIP entrance, followed by the special performance by Dead Poet Society beginning at 5:45 p.m. in the VIP section on the field. The event is presented by Speaking Rock Entertainment Center.
