Katie Ginella is getting used to shutting down her haters. For the bulk of Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19, her costars have labeled her a liar, a fan, and a rumor starter. But every time, Katie squashes their words, adamant that she is not the one who deserves any of their pitchforks. As to the “she’s just a fan” statement, Katie now has a few choice words for this seemingly canned line as well.
Katie Ginella enjoyed other Housewives shows more than RHOC before joining the cast
Katie is currently on a brief pause from filming. Nevertheless, her voice continues speaking out about the injustices she is experiencing on RHOC.
Case in point, Katie recently appeared on The Viall Files. Right away, host Nick Viall got right down to business with this jaded star, asking, “Do you feel like, being someone who watched the show, or was some kind of fan, do you think that has been weaponized against you by your peers in a way that feels unfair?” After noting that she liked this question, Katie dove in and gave her best response.
“I watched Orange County in the very beginning. Very, very beginning,” Katie began. But then, “it got a little dark.” So, Katie “stopped watching.”
Several beats later, Katie found herself “in talks with casting,” where she met Gina Kirschenheiter. “And I thought, I should probably watch the last season. So it was on in the background, but I sat down to watch the reunion. I wanted to see the resolution of things,” Katie explained.
However, Katie admits that she was once a fan of Real Housewives of New Jersey and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Yet, she “wasn’t a fan necessarily of [RHOC].”
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs on Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo. In the UK and Ireland, RHOC streams on Hulu.
