Country music sensation Zach Bryan shocked attendees with an unexpected appearance at the Born and Raised Festival on Saturday, though his impromptu performance wasn’t what left fans stunned.
Footage circulating online shows Bryan, 29, apparently scaling a backstage barbed-wire fence, seemingly targeting fellow artist Gavin Adcock.
The video captures Bryan, whose fans have speculated that the music star got a hair transplant, climbing down while Adcock gestures and yells. Security personnel stepped in before any physical altercation occurred.
“If they open this f—–g gate I’ll f—–g kill you,” Bryan, who was involved in a heated bar dispute earlier this year, can be heard declaring in one clip.
Addressing the incident on Instagram, Adcock offered his perspective on the situation, “Had a headline show to play. Dude was absolutely wasted. Had to do what was good for the fans. Everybody knows how that woulda have ended.”
A fourth user remarked, “You can see in Zach’s eyes and body language that he isn’t all there.. he’s an angry person. Never been a fan of Zach.”
The two musicians share a contentious past. Back in July, Adcock took aim at Bryan’s social media response to a young admirer who had lingered outside MetLife Stadium hoping for an autograph.
“You’re not entitled after someone plays two and a half hours to a picture or a hello,” Bryan posted at the time.
Adcock, who transitioned from Georgia Southern football to country music, hit back during an appearance on a Rolling Stone podcast. “I think that Zach Bryan puts on a big mask in his day-to-day life,” he declared.
“Sometimes he can’t help but rip it off and show his true colors. I don’t know if Zach Bryan’s really that great of a person.”
The feud has only intensified from there. Adcock has engaged in disputes with several musicians in recent months.
Earlier this month, he displayed a shirt featuring Charley Crockett’s image during a live performance alongside Morgan Wallen. Wallen reacted by giving the shirt the middle finger in front of the audience.
Back in June, Adcock sparked additional backlash by declaring Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter “not country music” during a show. He subsequently reinforced the statement during another podcast interview.
Bryan, for his part, has navigated multiple public feuds recently. He pulled his collaborative track with John Moreland from streaming services after Moreland questioned the magnitude of Bryan’s reported $350 million publishing agreement.
