Elite Arabian Horse competition, live entertainment to debut in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Global Champions Arabians Tour is set to take place in the U.S. for the first time.

The entertainment capital of the world will host a series of events from Sept. 26 through 28 for the GCAT Final.

The GCAT will end its tour in Las Vegas after traveling to Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. With a $1.5 million prize, officials say spectators can expect a fierce competition, fighting for unprecedented rewards.

Prize Money Breakdown

Overall Rankings (Americas Series): $1.275 million

  • 1st Place (Male & Female Horses): $100,000
  • 1st Place (Handlers): $10,000
  • Special Bonus: $50,000 for the horse with the highest overall points.

Las Vegas Championship: $270,000

  • Top 10 in each category (Yearlings, Juniors, Seniors – Male & Female)
  • 1st Place Prize: $10,000

Total Prize Purse: $1.595 million

  • Live concert by a Grammy-winning performer
