Elon Musk might have upset the workers at Microsoft with the name of his new venture.
On Monday, Oct. 13, the Tesla founder, 54, took to his social media platform X to show off the logo of his new project Macrohard.
On top of the Colossus II supercomputer cluster in Memphis, Tenn. now reads the venture’s name in big, bold black letters. Within a pinned tweet, he also wrote, “The @xAI MACROHARD project will be profoundly impactful at an immense scale. Our goal is to create a company that can do anything short of manufacturing physical objects directly, but will be able to do so indirectly, much like Apple has other companies manufacture their phones.”
Many fans found the logo’s name hilarious, as one commented, “Bill [Gates] is gonna hate it.”
Another wrote, “Arguably the most focused, yet chronically unserious person on the planet.”
The latest clash between the two tech moguls occurred earlier this year. Gates took a shot at Musk when he had first joined the Trump administration as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency.
When the department had spearheaded several budget cuts, including shutting down USAID, the Microsoft founder said, “The picture of the world’s richest man killing the world’s poorest children is not a pretty one.”
Musk accused Gates of being a “huge liar” after hearing of his comments. While speaking at the Qatar Economic Forum, called the philanthropist out for his “false statements.”
