Almost a decade since the finale of Fox’s original hit drama series Prison Break aired, the fans have been demanding more from the IP, to which Hulu has now answered. In a recent update (via Deadline), it was revealed that this spin-off series, piloted by Elgin James, will be set in the same universe as the original, but the characters will be all new.
Thus, the return of Wentworth Miller as Michael Scofield is pretty close to impossible. But if that didn’t get under the skin of the loyal fans of the series, then the role of the main character being played by a female lead definitely has ruffled many feathers.
