Bill Clinton, the 79-year-old former president, made a surprising appearance at the New York City Marathon this weekend, sporting a noticeable injury.
His nose was wrapped in a thick bandage as he greeted his daughter, Chelsea Clinton, at the finish line of her race.
Clinton has faced significant health challenges over the past two decades, including a quadruple bypass in 2004 and numerous hospital visits since then.
Hillary Clinton was also present, appearing cheerful alongside her husband, who has mostly stayed out of the public eye in 2025 after campaigning for Kamala Harris the previous year.
Public interest in Clinton’s health remains high. In July, he was spotted leaving the Hamptons with a portable defibrillator slung over his shoulder.
This move turned heads, considering Clinton’s more moderate track record during his presidency.
When recently questioned about his standing among the older generation of American leaders, Clinton humorously pointed out that he’s still younger than Trump, by two months.
He’s also three years younger than Biden and holds the title of the second-youngest living president, with Barack Obama being the youngest.
However, the man once known as the “comeback kid” isn’t rebounding quite like he used to.
His most recent hospital visit, due to a reported fever and dehydration, occurred less than a year ago.
Clinton was spotted exiting the marathon in a black van, escorted by NYPD officers.
