From “Full House” to full frontal?
John Stamos is joining the cast of the steamy Netflix series “The Hunting Wives,” and his wife is already wondering whether he’ll have to do nude scenes.
“I told my wife [Caitlin McHugh]. The first thing she said to me was, ‘Are you going to show your penis?’” Stamos said during a Wednesday, Dec. 10, appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
“Are you?” Fallon replied.
“Maybe,” Stamos quipped.
Stamos, who is best known for his role as Jesse Katsopolis on “Full House,” will play Chase Brylan on season 2 of “The Hunting Wives.” A description of his character has not yet been shared.
“The Hunting Wives,” which is based on Mary Cobb’s novel of the same name, premiered in July and got picked up for a second season in September. The crime drama stars Brittany Snow as Sophie O’Neil, a wife and mother who moves from Massachusetts to East Texas with her family.
There Sophie meets Margo Banks (Malin Ackerman), who brings her into an elite group of socialite women with their fair share of secrets. The suburban drama takes a dark turn when a teenage girl is found dead in the woods where the Hunting Wives meet.
Stamos isn’t season 2’s only newcomer. Also joining the cast are Cam Gigandet (Gentle John Moffitt), Dale Dickey (Zelda Moffit), Kim Matula (Nadia Kelly) and Alex FitzAlan (Lincoln Trout).
A release date for season 2 of “The Hunting Wives” has not yet been announced. A logline for the new installment reads, “Sophie and Margo are on the outs. But soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together. As they play their dangerous games, the question arises: Are they the hunters or the hunted?”

In addition to Snow and Ackerman, Jaime Ray Newman (Callie), Dermot Mulroney (Jed Banks), Evan Jonigkeit (Graham O’Neil), George Ferrier (Brad), Karen Rodriguez (Deputy Wanda Salazar), Hunter Emery (Deputy Walter Flynn) and Branton Box (Sheriff Jonny) will reprise their roles during season 2.
Season 1 of “The Hunting Wives” is available to stream on Netflix.
