Saying this as a lifelong Salman Khan fan isn’t easy, but it feels necessary. Salman Khan isn’t just a Bollywood star, he’s been a social phenomenon for over three decades. His alpha-male persona, mass appeal, and larger-than-life presence once defined Hindi cinema’s idea of stardom. However, somewhere along the way, that stardom stopped translating into compelling performances and, more importantly, into box office credibility.

Almost a year ago, Salman returned with Sikandar, which was aggressively marketed as his big comeback under AR Murugadoss. Expectations were high, but the result was disappointing. Salman looked disengaged, his performance flat and mechanical, as if he were simply going through the motions. There was no hunger, no spark, just a superstar relying on familiarity rather than craft.

The recently released Battle of Galwan teaser only reinforced this feeling. Instead of intensity or emotional depth, what stood out was how lazy the performance felt. Salman appeared stiff, unconvincing, and oddly disconnected from the gravity of the subject. For a war drama rooted in real sacrifice, this lack of commitment is alarming.

What’s puzzling is that Salman’s popularity hasn’t faded online. His social media posts still generate massive engagement, fan edits go viral, and his television presence, especially as the face of Bigg Boss, remains unbeatable. But that digital noise no longer converts into ticket sales. His films struggle to sustain momentum beyond opening weekends, proving that fandom alone can’t compensate for weak content and uninspired acting.

Salman Khan has nothing left to prove. He has defined eras, launched careers, and created a legacy few can match. That’s precisely why it hurts to see him dilute it with half-hearted performances. Perhaps it’s time for him to step away from acting before the decline becomes irreversible.

Honestly, Salman should stick to Bigg Boss, where his charisma, authority, and screen presence still feel natural and powerful. As an actor, though, it might be time to bow out gracefully, while Bhaijaan is still remembered as a legend, not a shadow of one.
