Tom Cruise’s ‘Digger’ carries nine-figure budget
Hollywood star Tom Cruise is set for another jaw-dropping project after the success of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning in 2025.
The 63-year-old’s next project is shaping up to be one of the most expensive films of his career.
As per recent reports, the upcoming black comedy carries a nine-figure price tag after MI8 was made at an estimated budget of around $400 million, being one of the most expensive films ever.
The movie titled Digger is directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu and is set to cost at least $125 million.
Puck’s Matthew Belloni wrote “A high-budget original Iñárritu comedy – Warners is saying it cost $125 million, but I’m already suspicious – with Tom Cruise in prosthetics. Basically next year’s One Battle [After Another].”
The film centers on the world’s most powerful man, played by Tom, whose actions have consequences and he is to save humanity.
Tom will star alongside the cast includes Riz Ahmed, Emma D’Arcy, Jesse Plemons, John Goodman and Sandra Hüller.
The movie is Alejandro’s first English-language film since 2015’s The Revenant, which he co-wrote and produced and which went on to win multiple Academy Awards.
