Jenny B is stepping confidently into her next chapter. The reigning Best New Female Artist at the 45th Tejano Music Awards has officially premiered the music video for “Ven, Ven, Ven,” the lead single from her upcoming sophomore album and the follow-up to her award-winning debut Mujer Sensual.

The new release marks more than just a new song—it’s a statement. In a recent interview with Tejano Nation Radio host Romeo, Jenny B opened up about her evolving sound, her vision for the future of Tejano music, and the inspiration behind a project she says is all about growth, color, and fearless creativity.

“This single is really going to be a kickoff to an upcoming project,” Jenny B shared. “I’m going to be releasing my next album, hopefully in April. My last project, Mujer Sensual, was very much my introduction as a Tejano artist. This next time around, it’s really just bringing in that new generation of Tejano.”

While her debut leaned heavily into traditional roots, Jenny B says her new album pushes boundaries—intentionally.

“I respect keeping Tejano the way it is 110 percent,” she explained. “But I also feel like that’s what’s keeping new people away because it feels outdated. I want to bring some fun, some color, some sexiness—something fresh. Something TikTok-friendly. The goal is to keep Tejano alive.”

At the heart of this evolution is her rebranding as “La Tejana Barbie,” a persona that celebrates confidence, individuality, and empowerment—especially for women.

“Anybody can be a Tejana Barbie,” she said. “You don’t need to be cookie-cutter. If you’re from Texas, you work hard, love your family, and you’re a strong woman who still looks amazing—you’re a Tejana Barbie. Another word for baddie.”

Musically, “Ven, Ven, Ven” blends modern pop, R&B, and hip-hop influences with Tejano and cumbia foundations. The track was produced by Clef God, whom Jenny B credits for seamlessly fusing worlds.

“He comes from the English pop, R&B, hip-hop side, and me coming from where I’m coming from, the way he meshed them together was amazing,” she said. “Heavy bass, even the bass guitar—it just blended so well.”

The song also has a personal touch. It was co-written by her husband and her father, keeping the creative process close to home.

“It’s nothing super crazy lyrically,” she admitted. “It’s just a fun song. The song didn’t call for big lyrics—we just want to get people on the dance floor.”

That energy translates directly into the music video. Rather than a standard club setting, Jenny B envisioned something playful and empowering.

“I wanted it to feel like Jenny B has this spell on this guy,” she said. “It’s sexy, fresh, colorful, young. Women of all sizes and colors. To me, Tejano has always kind of lacked color and excitement—and these are conversations we need to have.”

Beyond the release, Jenny B’s calendar is packed. She confirmed an end-of-February radio tour, appearances at Tejano Music Awards Fan Fair and Oyster Bake, and the debut of her newly assembled live band—set to premiere at Fan Fair.

“With the band, the dancers, the outfits—it’s the next level,” she said. “It’s exciting. It’s historic.”

She also revealed an exclusive milestone: Jenny B will perform the National Anthem at Go Tejano Day during the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a major honor she’s keeping close to her heart.

“A Tejano artist will be in the building that day,” she said proudly.

Reflecting on her Tejano Music Award win, Jenny B remains both humbled and hungry.

“This is the first of many,” she said. “I want them all. I’m going for all of them.”

With “Ven, Ven, Ven,” Jenny B isn’t just releasing a new single—she’s carving out her own lane in Tejano music, blending tradition with modern flair and inviting the next generation onto the dance floor.
