Citizen release new music video for ‘Halcyon Blues’

February is a short month, so you’d be forgiven if you assumed hot releases would be few and far between. But so far, we’ve been getting some great drops throughout the month and this week is no exception. As February winds down, the albums/singles are heating up.

Baby Keem drops his new album, Ca$ino, as SZA releases her contribution to Pixar’s Hoppers. We also get some cereal-themed nostalgia from J.I.D this week, as well as a posthumous Mac Miller appearance — courtesy of the newest single from Thundercat.

Jorja Smith drops her latest, while Young Thug teams with Nav; and we’ve got something fresh from Mozzy and EST Gee.

And in case you were wondering, Dave East is still out to prove he’s one of the hardest-working artists in music.

Each week, Okayplayer will deliver a roundup of all the latest new heat from some of our favorite artists. Check out the latest offerings in our playlist below:

NEW SONGS

J.I.D – “HEY TONY!”

A J.I.D and Kellogg’s collaboration that’s just full of “GRRRREAT!!!” nostalgia. The Grammy-nominated rhymer has partnered with Kellogg’s to bring a fresh, hip-hop spin to the iconic “Hey Tony” jingle.

SZA – “SAVE THE DAY”

Her latest is part of the soundtrack for Hoppers, the new animated film by Disney and Pixar. The film’s promo has been immersive and impactful; the filmmakers have really gone the extra mile to find new ways to hype the movie.

THUNDERCAT FEAT. MAC MILLER – “SHE KNOWS TOO MUCH”

A posthumous Mac Miller appearance that feels organic. Thundercat’s new single is the latest from his upcoming project — which is his first new album in six years. It will be Thundercat’s fifth studio record.

BRUISER WOLF FEAT. BABYTRON – “WHY THEY PLAY ME?”

A glimpse of what’s on Bruiser and Sheefy’s forthcoming album, PUSH & PAINT, which is set to be released on March 13, and produced in its entirety by fellow Detroiter and multidisciplinary artist Sheefy Mcfly.

REAL BOSTON RICHEY – “FINE SHIT”

Florida’s own drops this new single driven by bouncy production and his distinctive delivery. The track continues his steady run of new music as he builds toward his upcoming project, Public Housing 3.

WALLIE THE SENSEI FEAT. K CAMP – “NO QUITTER”

He’s made it official that his debut album is coming, and he drops this new single alongside a music video for the fans. It’s arriving just weeks after receiving a GRAMMY certification, to boot.

KWN – “HOPELESS ROMANTIC”

With her first taste of new music for 2026, the artist delves deeper into her personal world than ever before, offering listeners a vulnerable and intimate look at who she is. Sprawling with candid, raw lyricism.

EGO ELLA MAY – “DON’T TAKE MY LOVER AWAY”

Written about her husband and produced alongside longtime collaborator Alfa Mist, the song was born during a period when her partner was experiencing health issues, a time that made her confront both gratitude and the fragility of life. Rather than resisting that fear, the song gently surrenders to it.

JORJA SMITH – “DON’T LEAVE”

Celebrating 10 years since her debut, the release follows the drip of Demo Dump ’16, a collection of three demos from 2015, shared to mark the anniversary. Fans selected this track as the demo they wanted to hear in full.

KYGO W/KHALID AND GRYFFIN – “SAVE MY LOVE”

It may be winter, but this sounds like summer, music festivals, and good vibes. Khalid brings some real emotional depth, and this latest collab demonstrates once again why Kygo is a hitmaker.

LABI SIFFRE – “FAR AWAY”

The influential British folk and soul artist has announced Unfinished Business, his first studio album in 28 years, and he unveiled this new single, a piano-driven ballad that highlights his emotional songwriting and soul-influenced style.

NAV W/YOUNG THUG – “TRIMSKI”

Some pairings are calculated and some are inspired and organic. This is the latter. Their history as collaborators runs deep; and their bond as friends is obvious whenever they collab.

PROF W/THAT MEXICAN O.T. & 2 CHAINZ – “BIG DOG”

This is an irresistible one. A bouncy single with that Latin flavor and everybody is talking some serious sh*t. Just a fun track that sounds ready made for lowriders.

THE SCYTHE – “THE SCYTHE”

The supergroup features Denzel Curry, A$AP Ferg, TiaCorine, Key Nyata, and Bktherula. This is gritty Southern trap, with a dark twist. The debut album is set to drop March 6.

NEW ALBUMS

BABY KEEM – ‘CA$INO’

An 11-track project that shows Keem isn’t interested in rehashing what worked on The Melodic Blue. And that’s a good thing. A set of personal songs that prove he embraces pushing himself to new territory.

SKAIWATER – ‘WONDERFUL’

Their first full-length project as an independent artist. Entirely self-directed and deeply hands-on, the album marks a new chapter. They mixed the project themselves and oversaw the creative direction across visuals.

BABYFXCE E – ‘DA REALEST’

The rapper out of Flint, Michigan, is a product of the city’s raw and real history—and he embraces that lineage on his debut. He knows where he’s going—making this album feel like self actualization in real time.

MOZZY AND EST GEE – ‘NOT A CHANCE IN HELL’

Sacramento rapper Mozzy and Louisville’s EST Gee have a project that marks the culmination of a creative relationship that has been developing for several years. It melds two artists whose music is driven by similar codes of respect and loyalty.

DOMINIQUE FILS-AIMÉ – ‘MY WORLD IS THE SUN’

Inspired by the instinct of a loving mother. Each track is about finding the beauty in imperfection, Dominique gives the world her creative and spiritual process in its entirety — with all the quirks, chuckles and deep breaths.

MOONCHILD – ‘WAVES’

The project marks a return to in-person collaboration and a new embrace of sampling and sonic experimentation. The result is an album that feels more vulnerable and grounded than ever, while still pushing the boundaries of their signature sound.

GABRIELA RICHARDSON – ‘ISOLA’

The Spanish and African-American artist drops her debut album alongside the single “Mononoke,” a striking new song and music video that offers an intimate entry point into the emotional and sonic world of the full album.

NAÏKA – ‘ECLESIA’

The global pop fusion artist unveils her highly anticipated debut album. The debut marks a major milestone for the French Haitian artist, arriving as a fully realized body of work shaped by movement, community, and a life lived across cultures.

DAVE EAST & SCRAM JONES – ‘FOR THE LOVE 2’

Putting a NYC flavor and flip on classic tracks, Dave East and Scram Jones reunite for the highly anticipated sequel to their fan-favorite collaboration. This continues the chemistry that made the original resonate — while pushing their creative partnership forward.

KUR – ‘ARD’

A 16-track album rooted in intention, and self-control; the project features production from Franchise.wav, Yung Kaoo, ABM, ETRAX, and more. “ARD” is common Philly slang for “alright,” but the album’s deeper meaning stands for “Art of Release & Discipline.”
